CARE & PATINA
Vegetable-tanned leather develops a rich patina with age. Condition with a natural leather balm every few months. Avoid prolonged moisture and keep away from synthetic cleaners.

If you walk into the South Island bush, a tiny friend might greet you. The kakaruai, or South Island robin, is a small bird with long legs and a wonderfully upright stance. They are incredibly trusting. If you sit quietly, they will hop right up to you, sometimes even standing directly on your hiking boot.

Centuries ago, these birds survived by following giant, extinct moas to catch insects stirred up by their heavy footsteps. When the moas disappeared, the robin adapted and began following humans instead.

Today, facing modern threats, they have evolved a quiet vigilance. They even hide a secret spot of white feathers above their beak, flashing it only by choice. They prove that true strength is about mindful presence, not a loud roar.

This spirit of quiet adaptation is why the Zando cardholder relates so closely to the bird. Crafted from warm tan leather, its unique, softly rounded shape mirrors the compact form of the robin.

The clean panels stand with the same balance as the bird's upright posture, holding your cards securely. It does not shout for attention; it is simply a soulful companion for your daily journey.
